.The Continuous Improvement Engineer leads teams and contributes to strategic projects that identify business opportunities, improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
The focus is to generate competitive advantages using statistical analysis tools and process improvement techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, etc.Activities and Responsibilities:Identify, evaluate, and prioritize improvement opportunities in the production processes through data analysis, key performance metrics, and statistical analysis.Plan and lead the execution of continuous improvement projects under the Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen methodologies, among others.Facilitate multidisciplinary meetings to identify bottlenecks, waste, and other inefficiencies within the production process.Implement improvement initiatives collaborating with different departments such as production, quality, maintenance, and logistics, optimizing the available resources.Apply data analysis tools to measure the effectiveness of the improvements implemented, ensuring compliance with the established objectives.Constantly monitor the results of implemented improvements and adjust if necessary to ensure long-term sustainable results.Ensure the correct documentation and reporting of the progress of improvement projects through detailed reports and presentations.Promote a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the organization, facilitating and training to develop competencies in Printpack's associates.Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of improved processes and ensure compliance with ISO 13485 regulations and quality standards.Work together with the finance department to achieve the financial objectives linked to improvement projects.Carry out capacity and efficiency studies of production processes.Additional activities and responsibilities may be assigned by their direct supervisor.Academic Level:Industrial Engineering or related.Competencies:Receptivity to change – Demonstrate support for innovation and organizational changes that are necessary to make the organization more efficient.Influence – Gain the support of others for given ideas, proposals, projects, and solutions.Prioritization – Taking action based on the importance and/or urgency of the task.Proactivity – Anticipate problems and opportunities, consider possible contingencies, and take preventive action.Problem-solving – Properly assess situations, consider options, and come up with possible effective solutions.Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:5 years in a continuous improvement position or similar activities.Black-belt certification.Validation processes in the medical industry (IQ, OQ, and PQ).Regulations and certifications ISO13485 and FDA 21 CRF.Mastery of systems for data analysis such as Minitab.Advanced Excel.Tools for troubleshooting and root cause analysis.Project management (MS Project or similar).Effective leadership for change management.Effective communication
