Position Overview: Monday to Thursday from 7 am - 5.30 pm; Friday from 7 am - 3.30 pm The Continuous Improvement Engineer Manager leads the implementation of Lean principles and Kaizen methodologies to drive cultural and operational change across the site. Key responsibilities include planning and prioritizing Kaizen Events, developing Lean tools and capabilities, and ensuring employee engagement in improvement initiatives. This role involves daily coaching on waste elimination, facilitating Kaizen Events, and conducting training to build Lean expertise site-wide.
The CI Engineer Manager will also support benchmarking, share best practices, and contribute to Strategy Deployment, ensuring alignment with company goals. By leading continuous improvement efforts and fostering a culture of Lean, the CI Engineer Manager will help drive efficiency, reduce waste, and support the achievement of strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:Lead Site Guiding Coalition: Be the change agent – drive and accelerate change in culture, attitude, and capability.Daily/Active Waste Elimination Coaching: Participate in Accountability Meetings daily with Operations Manager or Production Managers to highlight opportunities for continuous improvement in Lean principles/tools and adherence to production system standards.Participate in weekly (or periodic based on site) Production Department meetings to support development of corrective actions and coach problem-solving methodology.Participate in periodic Functional Department meetings to identify gaps/issues which need resolution, assist in the prioritization of work processes, and support in the development of corrective actions.Outside of the Production Departments or Functional Department meetings (monthly minimum), coach structure and linkage of the Management System Boards to ensure proper cascade of measures, targets, and actions from Leadership to shop floor.Identify and lead training in accordance with the needs defined by the Guiding Coalition, Site Strategy Deployment, and personal observation (daily coaching and walkthroughs). Ensure proper understanding of these tools/techniques and ownership of deployment.Kaizen Event Facilitation: Coordinate Preparation, Execution, and Follow-Up stages of the Kaizen Event process through weekly interaction with Leaders/Co-Leaders to ensure team is on pace with the guidelines/expectations of Kaizen Methodology.Lean Tool Capability: Develop personal mastery in the Lean principles and tools to allow broad facilitation (Kaizen events, lean workshops, and daily coaching) in Production Departments and Functions.Reapplication/Benchmarking: Develop and facilitate Lean Manufacturing Annual Plans within the site to ensure best practices are shared and reapplied efficiently to accelerate results.Strategy Deployment: Seek and deploy opportunities for continuous improvement across the different departments of the plant.Conduct periodic reviews and audits of the Site, Production Department, and Functional Department Management System Boards to ensure ongoing alignment to the annual objectives, linked KPIs, site initiatives, and site standards.Manage the preparation of daily reports.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree, Engineering preferred.5+ years of proven experience in the Continuous Improvement area implementing and following up on improvement processes in Industrial Manufacturing plants.3+ years of experience leading or supervising cross-functional teams.Advanced proficiency in English (written and verbal).Proficient in all other Microsoft Package applications.A strong attitude/disposition to achieve change and goals – "It CAN be done!"Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues; strategic thinking is a must.Openness and ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams and production team members.Excellent communication skills and people-oriented.Please, submit your curriculum in ENGLISH only.
