Leads a function focused on the optimization of the Production organization's fabrication methods, processes, and equipment in close cooperation with Production management, Projects and Research and Development (R&D). Leads and manage facilities maintenance mechanisms and projects ensuring the proper operation of the site for the business needs.
**This position reports to**:
Production Development Manager
**Your responsibilities**:
- Leads activities, projects and mechanisms to maintain the site services and ensure a proper operation of the building for production needs.
- Oversees building and grounds maintenance; Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly. Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.
- Ensures that the production process aligns with the project targets, approves the design, both for internal or external developed process, and performs the final test in accordance with the projects data. Ensures the efficiency of all external production processes. Track and report metrics in their functional area to include labor hour consumption, work order completion, throughput time, capacity, cycle time, build to schedule and machine running time.
- Develops and proposes the estimated budget of investments necessary for the development of new products and processes.
- Supports the Supply Chain Management department in selecting suppliers, evaluating the technology and capacity, and determining the best option.
- Reinforces and maintains a culture of health & safety in all production development initiatives.
- Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
**Your background**:
- Bachelor´s Degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related.
- +5 years of experience in similar roles.
- Experience managing teams, leading plant maintenance areas and projects, product, process and/or equipment technical knowledge.
- Business Conversational English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
