The CI Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and executing continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility to drive improved operational performance. This position works to achieve a sustainable continuous improvement culture at the branch, and with key leaders within the facility and cross-functional partners to deliver Lean, and VAVE savings. This position must speak English and provide a resume in English.
MAJOR ACTIONS AND SUPPORT ACTIONSManage total facility CI initiatives and progress to completion. Develops and maintains annual Operational Excellence plan with a focus on lean tools that drive labor efficiencies, and OEE improvements.Maintains a culture of Operational Excellence. Teach, coach and mentor site employees on lean and problem-solving tools.Facilitates and leads structured process improvement projects that reduce rework and scrap.Responsible to quickly adapt to financial gaps by adjusting timing of improvement plans, creating additional improvements and overall supporting meeting the branch financial plan.Use metrics to provide support to process owners in linking projects to strategic operational objectives.Adherence to internal and external Business Processes and Certifications synonymous with a large US Incorporation operating within the Automotive Industry and be a committed role model for our Company's Beliefs and Behaviors.Fulfill assigned primary, secondary and or tertiary deputy/back-up roles as assigned and required on occasion by the business.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor's or master's degree in industrial / manufacturing engineering, or a similar technical degreeMinimum of 5 years' experience in hands-on operational roles in supply chain management, engineering, or manufacturing2-3 years of experience in a leadership roleExperience in applying Lean Thinking principles in a manufacturing environment.Experience in project managementMUST Speak EnglishKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITYStrong understanding of LEAN principles and methodologiesWell versed in Six Sigma, ability to lead DMAIC projects.Ability to develop focused team activities, facilitate collaboration and cross functional Kaizen events.Ability to lead structured data driven problem solving.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Working knowledge of MS office.What to Do Next Now that you've had a chance to learn more about us, what are you waiting for!
