Temporary position: Maternity leave
The Contract Manager performs the ongoing and daily activities for managing global contracts.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage and negotiate to resolve disputes, including on SLAs and unit rates, to minimize commercial leakage/risk while sustaining healthy partnerships with suppliers
- Act as an escalation point, liaising with the business, Technology Sourcing, Procurement Operations, and Procurement Legal, as necessary
- Control costs and limit financial risk and exposure, liaising with Finance and other teams and stakeholders as necessary
- Ensure contract deliverables and obligations, as well as stakeholder expectations, are met
- Provide obligation and commercial risk/issue management to deliver greater transparency/improved controls and reduced risk perimeter for managed services
- Diagnose supplier performance issues relating to the contract, as well as create and secure buy-in (internal and supplier) for plans to improve supplier performance
- Manage, draft, and negotiate contract changes including amendments, project work orders, and local agreements
- Implement a methodology for price and performance benchmarking to ensure agreements remain commercially optimized over time
- Implement best practice commercial governance to reduce leakage (i.e., ensure that agreements are providing the value that was contemplated in the business case) including adoption of a commercial issues register
- Implement strategic vendor scorecards and sophisticated relationship management to track vendor performance and drive desired behaviors and outcomes
- Build and enhance relationships with strategic suppliers in partnership with the service delivery management teams in order to achieve exceptional levels of service quality whilst maintaining best-in-class commercial terms and conditions
- Represent Contract & Commercial Management in governance forums with strategic suppliers and actively participate in those forums specific to contract and commercial matters in order to help ensure that all contractual terms and conditions are met, initiatives are performing against business case, and that issues and disputes are resolved in a timely manner

**Knowledge & Skill**
- Advanced negotiation skills, familiarity with contract and commercial management methodology, and a demonstrated track record of working ethically to achieve excellent outcomes
- Advanced fluency in contract terminology (including legal and business terms and SLAs) and ability to navigate complex contracts
- Rigorous attention to detail and expert analytics and ability to interpret terms and conditions
- Strong business acumen with ability to navigate and analyze complex commercials of a deal
- Strong ability to manage a varied range of stakeholders
- Excellent (external and internal) relationship management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced strategic thinking and communications skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as SharePoint and Teams
- Strong project management skills and the ability to drive vendor and stakeholder deliverables

- Experience in contract management / vendor management discipline, including experience of successful management of global managed service agreements in excess of USD 30m value
- Combined 5 years of experience in contract management, vendor management, strategic sourcing, and/or contract-related discipline
**Salary**: $48,000.00 - $49,000.00 per month
