Descripción y detalle de las actividadesJOB PURPOSE To support, challenge and partner the Medical Components management team and to develop and deliver high performance finance objectives across the Medical Components North America business. The Cost Accountant reports to the Mexicali Plant Controller. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES In partnership with the local Plant Controller, manage costs, inventory, and metrics in JM´s manufacturing plants. Provide analysis, support, and strategic finance guidance to the Plant Manager, Production Supervisors, and other key leadership on both Mexicali and SD sites. Prepare monthly margin analysis and variance reports (product, customer, and product group) and provide insight to business partners regarding product line and customer profitability. Develop and maintain cost accounting system, documentation, and records. Performs month end close activities related to Cost Accounting. Analyse and recommend costs and cost savings. Ensures calculation and review on a monthly basis of relevant accruals and reserves, such as obsolete and slow-moving inventory, warranty, advertising, volume discounts, freight, cost Accruals etc.Experiência y requisitosQUALIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance. US GAAP and Mexican FRS reporting experience. 5-10 years in Finance/Accounting experience. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
