This position is accountable for process development and improvements in an environment 24/7/365, as the Floating Glass process requires.
Implement and manage the control and automation systems related to the equipment and machinery within the production processes, using technology that helps us to monitor, improve and control all the elements and devices controlled by automated systems.
**What you're going to do in your role**
- Ensure the maintenance activities that are under their responsibility are always carried out under the focus of the safety vision, complying with each and every one of the guidelines established by the company.
- Analyze technical problems in machinery and equipment focused on the root cause in order to reduce downtime due to critical and chronic failures.
- Provide technical support to the maintenance team to track, monitor and solve failures related to automation and control
- Actively participate in the design, planning and execution of automation solutions that help the organization to change and improve its systems through the use of technology (PLC, communication networks, robots, etc.
- Ability to detect opportunities for improvement in processes that help us increase the reliability of machinery and equipment through the use of software and hardware solutions that are aligned with the established control and automation.
- Give support and support in the commissioning and start-up of automated systems controlled by PLC, robots and communication.
- Lead the solution of problems related to the control and automation of equipment connecting with local and foreign suppliers in order to provide effective solutions that help us have resilient and reliable.
- Monitor the performance of the equipment based on clear and precise objectives that help us to establish new strategies focused on reducing the impact of maintenance on production, quality and safety aspects.
- Lead the root cause analysis related to the technical topics, acting as the person in charge of carrying out the proposed solutions derived from the RCA as well as measuring their effectiveness.
- Ensure the implementation of automatic systems that helps to improve the equipment performance through the care and maintenance of the assets working as a team with the operational areas.
**The experience you will bring**
**Requirements**:
- 5+ years experience working for maintenance area developing a control engineer, automation engineer or any similar position.
- Proficient knowledge of PLC´s Allen Bradley, vision systems, Kuka Robots, comunication networks, monitored systems / scada, etc..
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
- Ability to work with all levels of company staff.
- Comfortable to delivering frequent technical sesions to team in order to create capacity in the maintenance team.
**What's going to put you ahead**
- Bachelor Degree in Electronic, Mechanic, Mecatronic or equivalent.
- Managing of automation softaware mainly Allen Bradley.
- Proeficient in MS Office.
- Advanced English
