**Role purpose**
The Risk and Compliance Transformation Portfolio Services Senior Manager is required to support the R&C Transformation Head in creating and leading a World Class Business Engineering organization which be recognized as market leading both internally and externally.
The role holder acts as a primary contact for the administration around the entire regional portfolio and ensuring the delivery of key and major change initiatives in the region, following the proposed business plan, target dates, milestones, etc. The role holder is expected to play the role of a 'trusted advisor' internally in the Transformation community and to Risk and Compliance stakeholders in senior management by constructively challenging their thinking and helping them prioritise their change needs, aligning the change programme to local needs and to the requirements defined by the Risk and Compliance organization. The role holder is accountable for making plans and leading projects, in order to help the R&C Management in the making decision process and provide a clear view on the way to accomplish the gaols set for the R&C Transformation area. This role will also act as the PMO senior officer to track and report against resourcing and budgeting of the regional transformation portfolio. The position can also act as the deputy regional Risk and Compliance Transformation Head
**Main activities**
- Develop long and short term plans for the Country in accordance with the Risk and Compliance Transformation strategy.
- Support the Risk and Compliance Transformation leadership in managing and leading change in the region through deployment of priority programmes.
- Support coordination of country and regional transformation programmes.
- Build change framework competency within the function
- Ensure close working with delivery partners on planning, design and estimating, bringing together delivery and business partner teams; actively managing dependencies between these teams and other projects and programs
- Ensure global programmes have sufficient support / resource from a regional perspective.
- Support regional R&C Function in managing and leading the change agenda within region.
- Drive demand for right shoring capability through global and regional portfolio and resource management process.
- Manage the change portfolio view and the pipeline for the region ensuring significant programmes within the regions are reflected in the global portfolios
- Undertake workforce planning for regional resources with an impetus on building multiple capabilities to support future business requirements within region.
- Build collaboration between Risk and Compliance Transformation teams, sharing best practice, ensuring consistency of approach and delivery.
- Promote an open, connected and dependable work culture within Risk and Compliance Transformation based on HSBC Values of respect for people, integrity of actions, creativity and collaboration leading to increased productivity
Requirements
**Knowledge**
- Outstanding understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviours, processes and objectives.
- Good knowledge of the external environment - regulatory, political, competitors etc.
- Outstanding knowledge of Transformation projects, preferably on risk and compliance type of portfolios
- functionally, operationally and financially.
**Experience**
- Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with senior managers across the Group.
- Proven ability in working across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural diverse work environments.
- Strong analytical background and proven ability in analytical rigour, including being able to contextualise data into business activities and conclusions.
- Proven ability in successfully designing and implementing large-scale, complex global / regional change initiatives.
- Evidence of successfully managing financial plans.
- Successful experience in developing and retaining critical talent and building an effective leadership team.
