General Overview: Manage all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, cost accounting, revenue recognition, Import & Export compliance oversight, and various special analyses. Role and Responsibilities - Assist management with important financial decisions. - Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, and statements to understand the financial state of the business. - Supervise employees who work under the controller in preparing financial reports and budgets. - Monitor financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs. - Keep up-to-date on the financial market to understand how to maximize profits and find new expansion areas. - Understand the financials in order to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing. - Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and operations. - Oversee payments of all accounts; ensuring all accounts are paid on time. - Process accounts and collect payments. - Monitor cash and funding balances. - Keep an organized filing system of all accounts, statements, transactions, payments, and debts. - Prepare and organize financial statements for record and review. - Prepare quarterly/annual financial reports. - Manage the quarterly/annual budgets and forecasts. - Advise on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, significant costs, benchmarks, and other matters with management and chief financial officer. - Organize information and statements for audits. - Define, benchmark, and implement operational best practices. - Complying with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting. - Ensuring the company complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements. - Oversee Import/Export compliance department for components & finished goods costing & weekly balancing between SAT, Visual MFG, & Millenium
