Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer in the U.S., this position will be responsible for accounting and Finance in Mexico. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial statements on monthly as well as annual basis, oversight of accounts payable, fixed asset accounting, maintaining internal controls, establishing operating budgets and accurately forecasting and reporting financial performance.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Owns the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and ensures accuracy and reasonableness of financial statements for the company. Specifically cost accounting, financial closing and reporting, internal control, tax, fixed asset accounting, inventory management and related activities.
- Managing/supervising with a hands-on presence the day-to-day accounting including A/P, payroll, fixed assets, cash management, account reconciliation, G/L management, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensures adequate internal controls and compliance, as well as assist with the establishment, development, implementation, adherence, and maintenance of internal controls to mitigate risks of material misstatements.
- Optimize cash balance through weekly liquidity forecasts as well as net working capital management.
- Leads, supports, and develops the accounting team, while driving efficiency & automation.
- Show support for all department and plant initiatives. Volunteer to lead or co-lead initiatives.
- Lead execution of all required budgets including manufacturing expense and capital budgets.
- Develop and maintain cost standards that closely reflect actual costs to manufacture and distribute product.
- Review and analysis of variances from standard.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in Finance and/or Accounting
- BS or BA degree in Finance/Accounting, CPA qualified preferred
- 2-4 years' experience in public accounting firm
- Experience with standard cost accounting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to excel in a cross-cultural, global team environment.
- Excellent written & presentation skills
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, problem-solving and project management skills
- Experience with SAP B1, or other large ERP software necessary.
