Hubbell is committed to continually innovating solutions that work, transforming old products with new ideas, and ensuring that we Energize, Enlighten and Empower the communities that support us.Division Overview- Position Overview- The Director, Finance Operations will support the VP Finance in the areas of cost accounting, operational accounting (sourcing, logistics, plant manufacturing variances, product costing, productivity analysis and capital spending), budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning for operational areas. Key areas of focus are monthly operational plant/accounting closing, analysis of results including recommendations for plant and logistics efficiency improvements, standard cost rollups/revisions, new products cost analysis, and capital project preparation and analysis. This role needs to be able to work with plant personnel in the US, Puerto Rico, Mexico and China. Assist and support Business Unit Controllers and their individual businesses with various accounting issues, forecasting, planning, controls, etc. This role will also be a key business partner to the Electrical Products VP of Operations.- **Responsibilities**:- Performs monthly financial statement review- Performs actual vs. budget analysis and forecast for the Electrical Products business unit- Responsible for plant accounting teams monthly closing: schedule, integrity of results, reporting- Leads plant finance budgeting and forecasting process as key focal point in the EP finance org- Responsible for ensuring that business units are following and properly implementing the accounting policies and procedures.- Owns the outcome of EP's annual cost accounting standards updates- Reviewer of Plant Accounting balance sheet reconciliations- Drive standardization of accounting processes and practices across the group
