.Overview:**Position**:Responsible for the implementation of technical projects, maintenance of the industrial network, ongoing PLC work, shop floor data collection, and will assist with resolution of technical issues with the plant. This person is also responsible for tracking progress and expenses of capital projects in the absence of the Technical Resource Manager.**Responsibilities**:**Duties and Responsibilities**Electrical design and component programming for new DSI products, product enhancements and aftermarket kitsComplete documentation of designs including drawings, bills of material, programming, draft materials for manuals and compliance with regulationsProject management of design projects to achieve design objectives within budget and scheduleEvaluating new technologies, suppliers and design approachesTraining service personnel in troubleshooting and maintenance of the electrical system and providing the service team with documentation, programs and procedures to support the trainingInspecting and testing equipment at manufacturing facilities, both on-site and remotelyResolving performance issues with equipment in customer facilities, both on-site and remotelyOccasional assistance with mechanical design and testingQualifications:**ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS**:- Expert knowledge of industrial electrical controls and use of AutoCAD Electrical software for design. Demonstrated ability to develop commercial products. Good organization and project planning skills. Demonstrated effective customer and service communication skills. Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science degree in an engineering field. At least 3 years direct experience in industrial control design.**TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS**- Defined on an annual basis.*****RELATIONSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES**:**Number of direct reports**:- While having no direct reports, this position will lead projects at times and provide on-site guidance to manufacturing and service personnel.**Indicate internal/external contacts and purpose of contacts.**- This position has extensive contact with other members of the JBT team and also interfaces with suppliers and customers.*****SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITY**:- Responsible for design, testing and manufacturing costs on assigned projectsReceives direction from the mechanical engineering manager to set project objectives. Consistently uses independent judgment and clearly demonstrates creativity in finding solutions and alternatives.- Potential errors may have major impact on customer relationships, future business, and safety and may delay production.**WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:- Normal working condition is an office environment, with an adjacent development lab. Working on-site in customers' plants is required to learn the business, supervise new installations and troubleshoot problems. This position will require occasional overtime and travel
