**Description**

This position is responsible for ensuring $2 Billion USD of payables per year are paid accurately and timely to our vendors, while enforcing the Purchasing Policy and SOX controls.

**Accountabilities**
- Conducts research projects and responds to external vendor inquiries.
- Manages the relationship with PAC vendor to ensure electronic accounting compliance on validation and proper interface functionality along with IT specialist.
- Manages OCR system to ensure all invoices process accordingly.
- Performs monthly account reconciliations for assigned GL accounts.
- Provides monthly and yearly accruals.
- Coordinates quarterly 1099 IRS reviews and corrections when needed.
- Analyzes and explains monthly variations and account behavior.
- Manages workload distribution based on special KPI reporting to ensure team is rounded on knowledge and experience of the whole AP process.
- Elaborates forecast and payment information to treasury for cash flow determination.
- Exemplifies KCS Vision, Values, and Culture interactions with coworkers, business partners, customers and stakeholders.
- Supports both internal and external audit requirements.

**Required**
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job related major field of study
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

**Preferred**
- SAP or automated AP processing experience
- Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software management experience
- Ability to read, comprehend and speak Spanish and English 90% +
- Three (3) years transportation industry experience

**Working Conditions**
- This position has a regular full time schedule with a normal work week of Monday through Friday. There may be a need for occasional work after hours or weekends.
- This position may require mínimal travel up to 10% of the time.
