.**Responsibilities**:- Assists in providing accounting guidance and support for Citi business units.- Assists in strengthening and providing controls by showing transparency of the Balance Sheet.- Typically deals with complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs.- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.**Qualifications**:- 6-10 years of experience- Industry/function, analysis, communication skills, technical proficiency**Education**:- Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree- Understands and explains trends, assumptions, key drivers/performance indicators and other quantitative measures: Articulates linkages amongst financial statements and management reports, performs deeper (adhoc) root cause analysis for variances using knowledge of data flows, reporting tools, supports adhoc reporting and analysis, performs deeper trend analysis to support business reviews.- Understands, uses and explains the key FRSS control tools : Develops and implements ideas to improve control tools used; performs periodic attestation of controls tools used in owned processes.- Accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and/or department(s).- Contributes to standards around which others will operate.- Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function.- Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas.- Selects and positions the right people in the right roles; seeks to build, developand engage teams; communicates goals and drives execution; evaluates self and others, providing meaningful feedback; appropriately rewards performance.- Always looking to create a culture of awareness, attention to detail and zero operational errors in the group.- Creates solid relationships across the businesses as a value added team player who is sought out by corporate and business unit managers and country leads.- Further develops a diverse financial talent pool, or related field, that can meet the demands of a growing team.- Leadership and team building skills are vital; must have the ability to guide staff through change management initiatives.- Ensures alignment and integration of FRSS processes with the other Best in Class components and following the GOM model.- Ability to foster and develop teams in distributed geographic environments.- Ability to work with all levels of management.- **Job Family Group**:Finance- **Job Family**:Balance Sheet Control- **Time Type**:Full time- Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer
