**_What Payroll contributes to Cardinal Health_**Human Resources designs, implements and delivers human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, talent management, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, among others. This function anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs in alignment with business strategies.Payroll processes the organization's payroll according to company policy and applicable regulations, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and timely with correct withholding and deductions. This job family maintains payroll records and calculates overtime, shift payments, sales commissions and bonuses, taxes and deductions. Payroll prepares reports for management and to meet regulatory and collective bargaining obligations and addresses questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters.**_Qualifications_**- 1-3 years of experience, preferred- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred**_What is expected of you and others at this level_**- Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete standard tasks- Works on routine assignments that require basic problem resolution- Refers to policies and past practices for guidance- Receives general direction on standard work; receives detailed instruction on new assignments- Consults with supervisor or senior peers on complex and unusual problems- Cardinal Health supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience and background.
