The Vehicle Controls department supports the Ford Model-E organization by providing a vehicle simulation environment that enables our controls development teams to design, verify, and validate their control systems.
This position involves deploying our proprietary HIL/SIL/MIL environment to evaluate the vehicle controls performance for body, chassis, and powertrain subsystems with the goal of improving the DV efficiency and reducing the testing time on prototype vehicles. Additionally, this work will require development of specific test descriptions, specific measures of success, user support/training, testing automation, scripting, and development of use cases.
**Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics/Electronics Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, or related degree.
- Demonstrated experience in powertrain calibration development and testing.
- Understanding of ICE/HEV powertrain architectures and control systems.
- Working experience with automotive communication protocols (LIN/CAN/Ethernet). Working experience with at least one of the following: Matlab/Simulink, C code or Python.

- Lead the development of use cases for different end users: powertrain controls, powertrain calibration, driveline and ADAS teams.
- Lead the collaboration efforts with the HIL/SIL Modeling team and end users to enhance the correlation between HIL/SIL data and vehicle data.
- Define and update the measure of success (MoS) definitions applicable for all applicable powertrain variants.
- Develop and maintain documentation for tools, testing methods, processes and use cases.
