Joining our team will provide you with the challenges of a growing company's legal department and the opportunity to gain expertise in the payment field.Job Duties And Responsibilities:Reporting to headquarters in Spain, she/he will be the primary legal business partner in México but also providing legal advice in coordination with local legal counsel, providing legal advice on corporate matters including, among others, powers of attorney, annual accounts, share transfers, corporate governance.Support in any M&A transactions and corporate reorganizations that may arise, including due diligence, acquisition agreements, investment agreements, shareholders' agreement, mergers and asset purchase agreements.Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and ancillary documents.Communicating with and managing any third-party bodies such as external counsels, public notaries or auditors.Support with the authorization and maintenance of licenses with Regulators in Latam.Draft of regulatory analysis reports.Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business.Promote legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the company.Design and deliver legal training to the business and operational teams.Work closely with the commercial and compliance departments.Stay up to date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect the business.Knowledge or experience in the payment sector industry, fintech regulations and digital wallet business will be an asset.Experience And QualificationsBachelor's degree in Law.Fluent in Spanish and English. Portuguese will be a plus.Experience of 12-16 years in similar roles, in a multi-national environment.Having experience in providing legal advice in various jurisdictions gained in a major international law firm or in an international payments/payment processing company.Experience managing a team in charge.Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and Google Workspace.Good organizational/time management skills, structural thinking.What We Offer:Opportunities to grow within a company in hypergrowth stage.One day of home office per week!Savings found, telemedicine, psychologist sessions and more.Excellent work environment and good collaboration
