In Morgan Philips Executive Search we are looking for a Corporate Legal Director for one of our clients.
**His or her main responsibilities will be**:
- Providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice to your employer and other members of staff
on a variety of legal topics that relate to the business sector and their products or services.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts, powers of attorney, and
agreements.
- Managing and mitigating legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and
procedures.
- Promoting legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the company.
- Communicating with and managing any third-party bodies such as external counsel or
auditors.
- Designing and delivering legal training to the business.
- Staying up-to-date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and
regulations that directly affect your business and specific industry.
- Liaising with senior members of staff.
**Requirements**:
**Skills and qualifications**:
- Minimum 5 years of external or in-house legal experience
- Bachelor's degree in Law; Juris Doctor degree from a top-tier school desired
- State attorney license
- Proficient in MS Office
- Working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Well-versed in legal terminology and operations
- Strong understanding of corporate law and legal defense strategies
- Knowledge of current legislation practices
- Crisis management experience
- Critical thinking and multitasking abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
