.**Description**This position is in charge of running the Transportation Service Plan (TSP) in coordination with all terminals along the KCSM network. Define plans and priorities to meet department commitments aligned with company goals and financial responsibilities. Focused on the continous improvement of internal proceses. Leads the train dispatchers staff and provides guidance to address operational challenges. Delivers timely and constructive coaching and feedback to his/her team to develop individuals and take them to the next level of performance.**Accountabilities**- Plans and executes a safe operation LOR by monitoring compliance of safety rules and regulations dicated in our GCOR/RIT.- Executes the activities defined in the NOC Safety Action Plan, including OTS program, field visits, daily safety briefings, and safety blitzes.- Delivers operational results that align with department's goals in terms of gross velocity and train delays, train length, recrews, TTOD, movements LOR, etc.- Works with MLU and the crew office to ensure the most efficient utilization and balancing of both resouces: power and crews.- Joins efforts with transportation field operations and the different support desks such as MACM, RFE and engineering department to address service interruptions and ensure a swift resumtion of the operation.- Executes follow up on specific customer needs and urgent requierements in coordination with fleet distribution, customer solutions and/or sales & marketing teams.- Supervises the performance of train dispatchers.- Exemplifies KCS Vision, Values, and Culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders.**Required**- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job related major field of study,- Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience,- Minimum five (5) years of railroad industry experience.**Preferred**- Mínimum 3 years as a Train Dispatcher- Knowledge of KCSM network- Familiarized with the Transportation Service Plan- English (intermidiate level)**Working Conditions**- Working shifts is an essential function of this job. Employees must have the ability and willingness to support critically important railroad operations 24 hours per day/7 days per week, working various shifts as assigned in their roll.- Availability to work overtime or during days of rest or holidays- Show flexibility and adapt to change quickly- On-call responsibilities are an essential function of this job. Employees must have the ability and willingness to support operations of critically important systems and/or processes 24 hours per day/7 days per week. On-call assignments may include after-hours, weekends and holidays.- This position may require mínimal travel up to 10% of the time
