Cost Accountant

**Job Description Summary**: The cost accountant is responsible for providing financial support to manufacturing and quality operations. Its activities include monthly closing, reporting to management, financial analysis and forecasting. This person will participate in interfunctional teams, focusing on manufacturing issues and issues. He works closely with the highest level management evaluating cost reduction. Its annual projects include process coordination for the earnings plan and cost analysis for the Strategic Plan. They relate in terms of financial matters to the areas of Quality, Purchasing and other central operations departments.
- 1. Monthly accounting of manufacturing operations: _
- _Monitors manufacturing variations._
- _Analyzes the variation of purchase prices and cost-saving projects._
- 2. Provides financial statistics, analysis and results of the performance measurement of the operations area for inclusion in the monthly administrative and/or operations package._
- 3. Monitor cost reports and other financial reports throughout the month, and reconcile major variants before the end of the month. _
- 4. Represents cost accounting in the design, testing and implementation of computerized systems._
- 5. Participate in cross-foundational teams focused on cost reduction and other corporate goals. Provides feedback regularly to the operations management team._
- 6. Responds to the request for personnel data of Operations and Quality and makes presentations when necessary. _
- 7. Attend Operations team meetings as required._
- 8. You interact regularly with the purchasing area responding to requests for support data in relation to price variants._
- 9. Establishes and maintains internal controls, procedures and records for measurement, and reporting of actual versus standard costs (including labor, overhead, and matter)_
- 10. Develop the appropriate costing of new products._
- 11. Annually: Coordinates the development of standard inventory costs during the annual business planning process:_
- 12. Its main focus is related to the development of product costs._
