Cost Accountant

Gerresheimer Querétaro S.A. in Mexico produces primary glass packaging for pharmaceutical use. Type I glass is produced in clear and amber glass. The broad product range includes ampoules, serum vials, screw thread vials, ready-to-fill syringes, and cartridges.Job DescriptionCollect cost information and maintain an expense database.Determine fixed costs (e.G., salaries, rent, and insurance).Plan and record variable costs (e.G., raw material purchases and operating costs).Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.Prepare budget reports (for the company and for each department).Analyze and report profit margins.Prepare cost forecasts (monthly, quarterly, and annual).Assist with month-end and year-end closing.Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.QualificationsProven work experience as a cost accountant, cost analyst, bookkeeper, or similar position.Extensive knowledge of accounting procedures.In-depth understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Experience with accounting software.Computer skills, MS Excel in particular.Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.Strong time management skills.Integrity, with ability to handle confidential information.Advanced English.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant study.Additional InformationGerresheimer is the innovative system and solution provider and global partner for the pharma and biotech industry.
