JOB DESCRIPTION Manages cost accounting activities/team and is in charge of cost control methods within a business unit/group.
Develops and/or maintains standard cost system needed to provide an appropriate level of costing information to management.
Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports.Major Responsibilities:Assign standard cost to new items, review and maintain item master – ensure all items have std cost.Following up and close in time of DDM and ECR tasks for new costing items and engineering changesSupport all NPDs requirements for standards and actual costs comparisonsMonth end close journal entry preparation, reviewing GL cost accounts are accurate and developing the receipts and sales cut off.Preparation of actual and fcst inflation/deflation raw material reportActive participation in physical inventory, making tours into the warehouses and the production floor to ensure inventory transactions are made properly, auditing and approving pre-counts to advance physical inventory countingReview scrap transactions and make walks wall to wall to make sure there are not cumulative scrap in the areas and report to direct manager and staff the findingsAudit obsolete material disposition and scrap and reconcile the material disposed vs payment received for the scrap supplierInventory and scrap daily tracking (review of negative quantities in the on hand and measure the scrap expense vs the production cost)Oversees month-end cost accounting close.Required Education / Experience / Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting / 2+/ Excel, Bilingual, OracleTravel: YesLanguage: English 80%About Regal RexnordRegal Rexnord is a $6.5B publicly held global industrial manufacturer with 30,000 associates around the world who help create a better tomorrow by providing sustainable solutions that power,transmitand control motion.
