Oversee the financial operations of our Juarez, Mexico facility.
This role is critical in ensuring compliance with Mexican tax regulations, supporting maquiladora operations, and managing cross-border financial activities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1.
Financial Oversight and Internal Controls:
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with both local and international financial regulations.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for both Mexican operations and US headquarters.
2.
Cost Accounting and Budget Management:
- Oversee cost accounting, including tracking production costs, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial performance analyses to support business objectives.
3.
Mexican Tax Compliance and Reporting Support:
- Provide accurate financial data and supporting documentation to external advisors for the preparation of tax filings, including:
- VAT (IVA) reports, Income tax (ISR) calculations and IMMEX program compliance
- Ensure timely responses to requests from Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) during audits or reviews.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors to align with local tax requirements and maintain compliance.
4.
Maquiladora Operations and IMMEX Compliance:
- Support IMMEX program reporting requirements, including inventory control, import/export documentation, and VAT certification.
5.
US and Cross-Border Financial Coordination:
- Provide financial reports and analyses to support cross-border operations and decision-making.
- Align financial reporting practices with both US GAAP and Mexican compliance requirements.
6.
Audit Coordination:
- Prepare and provide documentation to support external audits conducted by SAT, IMMEX program reviewers, and corporate auditors.
7.
Collaboration and Leadership
Experiência y requisitos
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management, with 3+ years in maquiladora or cross-border operations.
- Strong understanding of Mexican tax regulations, specifically IMMEX and maquiladora.
- Experience working with US-based companies and coordinating financial reporting with corporate headquarters.
- Proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex financial operations in a manufacturing or maquiladora environment.
