**Bedrock-Service** is a world class project management firm. The employee-owned company operates through a network of offices and projects around the world. Bedrock-Service offers project delivery services in a variety of markets including transportation, water/wastewater, power, oil, building and mining.**Location**:We work on projects all around the world, in large cities and small towns, so our people must be willing to travel and work on site as required. Work assignment locations and durations will be determined by our client s needs. Employees must be able to travel and potentially temporarily relocate as required business by our client s needs.**Position Overview**:Cost Engineer able to implement world class Cost Management processes and procedures, support any existing cost management requirements and specifications of large construction projects, estimate costs on a project, analyze variances and provide technical support in claims preparation.**Primary Responsibilities**:- Develop the project budget from the project estimate and develop the cost element structure as the basis of the project control system.- Validate budget constraints, boundaries and project requirements.- Help define the project controls approach and offer suggestions concerning the project control systems, tools, procedures and reports.- Develop and implement requirements for cost reporting, and maintain standards, programs, and reports.- Receive estimating data in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures and make adjustments to the budget as required.- Collect and monitor project key performance metrics, analyze and report variances.- Control changes, analyze variances and provide forecasting and trending data.- Provide overall expertise in the areas of project controls, cost estimation and earned value management.- Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards to ensure consistent reporting of accurate information in a timely manner.- Help identify project risks and develop contingency plans.- Participate in risk & value engineering workshops and implement best practices.- Assist in preparing cost data for proposals and contract negotiations.- Provide technical support in claims preparation, negotiation and litigation.**Requirements**:- Bachelor s degree in Construction, Engineering, or in a related technical field.- Minimum 10 years of experience with cost engineering or cost estimating, or other related areas of project controls on mayor projects.- Fluent in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing. Able to report in both languages.- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including MS Teams for online communications.- Well-organized and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, as well as to coordinate with several departments to accomplish the objectives of the project.- Up-to-date work permit for Mexico.- Ability to travel using COVID 19 safety protocols.
