Cost Estimator

Analyzes capacity and capital requirements and forecasts project costs. Gathers details and compiles data to estimate all production costs according to specifications. Considers raw materials, labor, equipment, tools and transportation for estimations. Helps determine necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budget constraints.**Skills**- Effective Communication, team work and analytical**Activities**- Evaluate engineering changes economically and follow up- Prepare the capital approval files of the plants- Preparation of saving studies- Preparation of Kaizen and Fresh eyes events- Support the corporate in the new business quotes- Analysis of new projects**Requirements**:- Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projectswith manageable risks and resource requirement- Solve complex problems; takes a new perspectiveon existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information- Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies- Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus- Knowledge on Lean Manufacturing and 5's.- Advanced English- Knowledge on ERP System (AS400 / QAD is a plus)- Knowledge on EC and new projects, analysis and revision of Cost Cards
