**Responsibilities**:These positions will provide routine and ongoing accounting and analysis support to manufacturing sites in North America as part of Cost Accounting team in the Mexico City office. The roles will work closely with the Operations/Site Controllers to assist with accounting, analysis and reporting requirements for the manufacturing sites and their operations. Excellent communication and collaboration between the Mexico City team and Operations Controllers as well as with the Corporate Cost team in Eastman headquarters will be critical to delivering success in this new organization structure. An ability to work independently, both effectively and efficiently, while meeting tight deadlines particularly around month end closing will be critical factors for success.**Primary Responsibilities**:- Support monthly financial closing process including preparation and recording of journal entries for accruals and other transactions for global manufacturing sites. Ensure all transactions are correctly and accurately recorded in Eastman accounting systems in a timely manner to meet the closing timeline and in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.- Prepare routine analysis and reporting on cost and manufacturing performance in support of Controllers and communications to Site Managers and Leadership Teams.- Assist with monthly and annual planning processes including in areas of manufacturing direct spend and product cost estimates.- Support, as required, preparation of billings to guest operators on Eastman manufacturing sites consistent with site operating agreements.- Act as product costing lead for various manufacturing plants and warehouses to ensure material costs are accurately reflected in the ledger.- Provide additional ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.- Communicate on regular basis with Controllers and other functions at manufacturing sites.- Some business travel may be required on infrequent basis.**Qualifications**:Qualifications and Requirements:- Bachelor's degree with finance/accounting orientation and at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment.- Excellent command of English both spoken and written.- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate effectively both internationally and locally.- Ability to thrive in newly established team where full scope of responsibilities is evolving and not fully defined initially.- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, establish priorities and meet deadlines.- Strong accounting, analytical and reporting capabilities.- Experience with SAP and product costing preferred.
