Operates non-articulated vehicles safely and efficiently, complying with all governmental and Corporate procedures. Accomplishes accurate and timely selection and inspection of assigned packages and the subsequent reporting of stop counts and miss-sorts. Seeks additional busineom current customers,attempts to gain new business (passes leads to sales department), and informs sales department of significant changes in customer use/competitors actions. Answers customer questions dature of service and keeps customers informed about the company and its services. Ensures that packages conform datures of service; that proper labeling inprovided; and that all paperwork is complete, neat, and accurate. Determines legality of packages including special requiremenr dangerous goods and international shipments and separates packages by service type and destination in accordance with established procedures. Scans packages according to prescribed procedures and demonstrates proficiency atures of service and equipment. Ensures customers have adequate supply dEx materiar shipping. Meets aircraft and transports packages as requirr sorting operations. Loads and unloads aircraft, containers, and company vehicles and operates mechanized ramp equipment to load and unload packages. Cleans, washes,and performs minor maintenance to company vehicles as necessary and maintains neat and clean personal appearance to uphold companys public image.High School diploma/Equivalent. Two (2) years courier Importante empresa. Must be able to demonstrate multi-route knowledge. Must be licensr type of vehicle assigned and have no preventable accidents during previous two (2) years. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistanom another person. Good relations and verbal communicationskills. Thorough knowledge of the stations service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Special Notes:The incumbent(s) of this position is(are) expected to perform all other related duties as assigned. Employees classified in the position do not have regularly assigned routes,they provide coverar open routes in the absence of the normally assigned courier. Employees who are assigned multiple different routes during the work week on a regular basis are not classified as courier/swing driver. Specific assignments may require certification as a dangerous goods specialist and performance of those duties
