To do this, we are investing in technology, and businesses focusing on micro-transit, commercial solutions for fleet customers, enhancing the vehicle ownership experience and developing the Transportation Mobility Cloud, which will host mobility-related solutions.- THE ROLE:As Crash Safety Engineer, you will be developing the safety systems for Ford future products by using engineering design methods such as virtual assessments and physical test validation.- YOUR IMPACT:- Assess crashworthiness performance for high speed crash test modes by means of CAE tools and physical tests.- Perform post-crash test analysis to identify issue root cause and enhance CAE correlation.- Interpret CAE/test results and produce concise summaries to be communicated to D&R engineers and Management.- Develop component and subsystem level test methodologies to validate designs in preparation for crash testing.- Support design progression with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.- Drive design changes to ensure Crash Safety compliance.- Perform optimization studies by means of CAE tools and 6-Sigma Methodology.- Support and lead technical meetings with relevant stakeholders.- Document lessons learned.- Participate in global Crash Safety forums.WHAT YOU'LL NEED:- Bachelor´s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent required.
