Crop Management Manager
Responsabilities:
Participate in the global yearly planning process and crop cycle reviews with partners for the deployment of crop programs at site.
Acknowledge and ensure the realistic workload number of plots by crop to be managed at the site.
Anticipate a planning workflow to properly organize the day to day operations within the area, in addition to balance workload among employees with their personal life.
Ensure excellent crop management by establishing an optimum fertirrigation plan and a good pest management control, allowing materials to express their real potential.
Constantly upgrades phytosanitary protocols to secure the health of crops grown in the station for both protected and open field environments.
Adopt and promote among direct reports, the use of internal digital systems for data capturing, data analytics and digital tasks related to operation.
Engage with key stakeholders R&D and Breeding team, Global production, Pre commercial, Field Quality, Production Research, and others to identify improvement opportunities to improve reliability, cost and customer experience. Participating in OPEX and CAPEX site reviews.
Create and continuously upgrade standard operating procedures, as a base of working under a system.
Coordinates the hiring of seasonal labor, according to workflow demands.
Develops and tracks metrics on process, used for decision making and continuous improvement.
Adopt and promote Bayer s Safety Standards, to ensure employees work on a safe environment, reducing/eliminating risk of incidents.
Adopt and promote sustainable practices on the area, following Bayer s policies and available materials, with the objective to enhance a sustainability culture on site.
Develops and attracts talent, for succession plans, following Bayer s systems for people attraction and people development.
Qualifications:
BS in Agronomy or related discipline to the Ag industry, MS or higher degree would be desirable.
Minimum 3 years of proven effective leadership and business strategy development.
Team leadership skills including excellent coaching and organization skills. The job requires the social competencies, networking developing and communication skills to understand, influence and motivate through leadership.
Results oriented with strong drive for continuous improvement, effective use of technology and innovations to create a competitive advantage.
Advanced knowledge of English, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Fosters use of digital and analytic tools.
