We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Materials Planner to join our team and play a critical role in optimizing our materials management processes.
Job Summary:
As the Master Materials Planner at EDDY Pump Corporation, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end materials planning and procurement process. Your primary focus will be on optimizing inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement of components and materials, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support our manufacturing and engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Requirement Planning (MRP):
Utilize advanced MRP software and tools to generate accurate and efficient materials procurement plans based on production forecasts, sales orders, and inventory goals.
Inventory Optimization:
Monitor and manage inventory levels to balance the need for availability with the goal of minimizing carrying costs while preventing shortages.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, lead times, and pricing agreements. Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.
BOM and SKU Management:
Review and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with production needs.
Demand Forecasting:
Work closely with sales, production, and engineering teams to gather demand forecasts and market intelligence to refine materials planning.
Order Management:
Initiate and oversee purchase orders for raw materials, components, and parts, ensuring timely deliveries to meet production schedules.
Lead Time Analysis:
Analyze supplier lead times, transit times, and production schedules to optimize order placement and materials availability.
Risk Assessment:
Identify potential risks to the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions or shortages.
Materials Clearance:
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure materials are used efficiently, prevent excess stock, and manage material obsolescence.
Continuous Improvement:
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement in materials planning and procurement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience in materials planning and procurement, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Proficiency in Material Requirement Planning (MRP) software and inventory management tools.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles is a plus.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per month
