We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Materials Planner to join our team and play a critical role in optimizing our materials management processes.Job Summary:As the Master Materials Planner at EDDY Pump Corporation, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end materials planning and procurement process. Your primary focus will be on optimizing inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement of components and materials, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support our manufacturing and engineering operations.Key Responsibilities:Material Requirement Planning (MRP):Utilize advanced MRP software and tools to generate accurate and efficient materials procurement plans based on production forecasts, sales orders, and inventory goals.Inventory Optimization:Monitor and manage inventory levels to balance the need for availability with the goal of minimizing carrying costs while preventing shortages.Supplier Relationship Management:Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, lead times, and pricing agreements. Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.BOM and SKU Management:Review and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with production needs.Demand Forecasting:Work closely with sales, production, and engineering teams to gather demand forecasts and market intelligence to refine materials planning.Order Management:Initiate and oversee purchase orders for raw materials, components, and parts, ensuring timely deliveries to meet production schedules.Lead Time Analysis:Analyze supplier lead times, transit times, and production schedules to optimize order placement and materials availability.Risk Assessment:Identify potential risks to the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions or shortages.Materials Clearance:Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure materials are used efficiently, prevent excess stock, and manage material obsolescence.Continuous Improvement:Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement in materials planning and procurement.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.Proven experience in materials planning and procurement, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment.Proficiency in Material Requirement Planning (MRP) software and inventory management tools.Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and collaboration skills
