This will be a Customer Advanced Quality Engineer (CAQE) for AS&UX product development programs from the initial business sourcing stage to high-volume stable production.
**Your Role**:
- Analyze customer requirements during the sourcing phase to identify and resolve quality, manufacturing, and warranty gaps.
- Lead APQP execution to achieve on-time performance.
- Contribute to engineering reviews and drive end-to-end quality.
- Drive identification and flow down of key characteristics to suppliers and production sites.
- Develop initial control plans and safe launch containment plans for new products/customers.
- Work with the production sites on early builds to resolve design and process issues as programs transition to production.
- Enable risk identification, capture change-point risks, and drive mitigations.
- Drive the implementation of Built-in Quality principles on all new programs.
- Assure that key lessons learned are captured and addressed in new designs.
- Establish initial First Time Quality models for development programs
- Support customer portals.
**Your Background**:
- **Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science.**:
- **7+ years of work experience in product design, quality, or manufacturing**:
- **Proficient English level.**:
- **Excellent communication skills. Work with outside customers and global teams.**:
- **Knowledge/experience in automotive safety products design and manufacturing.**:
- **Strong problem-solving capabilities.**:
- **Ability to drive action in a cross-cultural team setting**
