.JOB STATEMENTThis position is responsible for the product drafting and modelling design of Mill Lining, Lining, Synthetic Media, Loading and Hauling Solutions, Chute Lining & Sheeting Solutions and other Rubber and PolyMet products according with the Product Specifications of Metso Outotec.
This position is also responsible to support in design analysis, including moulds design, mould improving's, and products and moulds handling according to Health and Safety Environment policies.PRIMARY FUNCTIONSDesign sketches and preliminary layouts.Creation of drawings of finished products.Creation of assembly drawings of the products manufactured in the Rubber and PolyMet (RUPO) manufacturing facilities.Requirement of goods required for the production.Revision of drawings according with new specifications.Harmonization of descriptions for the materials used in the product lines.Cost analysisCreation and/or modifications of assembly drawings for different equipment including parts list.Lifting molds analysis keeping in mind design for safety.Analyze fixing between molds, adaptor lower mold, adaptor upper mold and platten.De-molding system standardization for all plant products.Technical training for good molds handling.Technical support for molds assembly.Creation of Items, Master Data, BoM´s and Routings in SAP.Creation of items in Teamcenter.RELATIONSHIPMain relationship with COE Team Leader and COE designers.Strong relationship with Manufacturing Engineering personnel.Strong relationship with Production personnel.Strong relationship with Supply Management personnel.Strong relationship with Materials control.Strong relationship with Molds personnel.INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL INTERFACESReports directly to COE Team leader.Production teams.Product lines.Product support sales.POSITION SPECIFICATIONTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Mining Industries experience desired.English 75% spoken and written.Spanish is an asset.SKILLS AND ABILITIESStrong understanding of Engineering process and practices; costing and drawing interpretation.Highly motivated individual with ability to work under stress.Strong communication, co-operation.Strong level of computer skills is essential - Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook knowledge.Strong communication skills/fast decision makingAuto CAD.
