Plays a critical role in building customer relationships and representing the organization. Responsible for interacting closely with the customer, accurate processing of customer orders, confirming inventory availability, shipping and delivery information, verifying pricing, routes, and freight terms, processing order acknowledgments and offering prompt and efficient follow up. Initiate and respond to telephone calls in regards to expediting orders, pricing and lead-time information. Maintain pricing in ERP system as well as organized off line documents. Reference internal procedure "guidelines for pricing maintenance". If the delivery date to the customer needs to be changed due to internal constraints, work with internal personal to develop the best solution to the customer and then contact the customer to provide the solution. Collect on past due accounts. Research and prioritize external/internal complaints Processes Invoices, returns, credits and debits, obtaining the appropriate authorizations and necessary backup, in a timely manner. Reference internal procedures "guidelines for AR Invoicing", "guidelines for customer RMA's". Provide reporting on customer back log, open orders and other as requested. Maintain electronic customer base. Responsible for keeping all contact info current. Reference internal procedure "guidelines for customer set-up". Other projects and tasks as assigned. Based on volume of customers, some facilities will have added general office administration functions. This may include purchasing, handle incoming telephone calls, as well as work closely with the Materials Manager in following up on vendor and customer inquiries.
Experiência y requisitos
Associates Degree in business or related field is preferred Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a customer service role within a manufacturing environment. Experience in a manufacturing environment or related preferred Strong communication skills Familiar with MS Word, Excel, Outlook
