Responsible for working directly with the driver planner tocoordinate in service and scheduled home times.**PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**:- Freight Coverage Every Day (Exceed customer on-time pick-up and delivery expectations; Proactive planning to prevent service failures)- Customer Relationship (Consistent and professional communications; effective, prompt andcourteous communications with respect to difficult situations, relaying service failures, etc.)- Carrier Relationship (Productive carrier relationship development, handling and managementof difficult situations, etc.)**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS**:- Leverages knowledge and understanding of Modes, Rates, Weights, Volumes, Pallets, Classetc. based on Customer's shipping requirements- Verify shipment suitability, e.G. weight, size, product, special shipping requirements and makenecessary adjustments- Verify order readiness for shipments and change appointments when necessary- Optimizes the utilization of company resources by matching trucks inbound to an area withoutbound freight- Prioritize loads by time schedule, and customer priority ensuring deadhead is mínimal- Carrier Relationship Management- Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers contracted to thededicated fleet as well as other carriers operating in your geographical region- Customer Relationship Management- Establish and maintain effective relationships with shippers and receivers throughprofessional and timely communications and inquiry responses- Provide Rate Quotes for spot lanes- Financial and Operating Metrics- Identify patterns with shipper, receiver and carrier performance and recommendactions for improvement**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE**:Professional standards)- Geographical Expertise (Geographical understanding of the continental US, Mexico andCanada.
