**IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE**:
- Ensures optimal import and export operations in a timely manner and in compliance with customs clearance formalities.
- Ensures correct tariff classification and customs valuation of goods.
- Prepares documentation for raw materials, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) items, machinery, and equipment.
- Handles the services provided by customs brokers.
- Coordinates virtual operations with suppliers and customers.
- Runs subcontracting operations.
- Handles the digital file for operations carried out in the electronic customs system.Requests import permits, rule eight permits, and ensures compliance with non-tariff regulations.

- **Computer proficiency**:Familiarity with customs software and other relevant computer programs.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART**:
- Bachelor's degree in international Trade, International Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the customs department of maquiladora (manufacturing plant operating under a maquila program).
- Knowledge of Customs Classification: Understanding the system used to categorize imported and exported goods for the purpose of assessing duties.
- Experience using import/export software: Proficiency in specialized software systems commonly used in international trade (a list of specific software may be provided in Annex 24).
- Experience in VUCEM and DataStage: Familiarity with these systems used for customs procedures and data management.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to communicate optimally in English, both written and spoken.Preferred qualifications: Experience with CTPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism), OEA (Origin Evaluation Assessment), and IVA (Value Added Tax) certifications.
