This allows us to adapt with our customers and partners as needs evolve, leveraging our footprint to remain at your side while providing a highly personalized level of service and support no matter where you find yourself around the globe.**Position overview**:Optimas is looking for a dynamic, competent, creative **CUSTOMS COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST** who is responsible for enhancing the compliance programs; auditing shipments; provide information to Broker for goods classification and enforcing all import/export regulations, coordination of the transportation and customs clearance, ensure that all documents required for customs clearance are submitted to properly and on time. This person will work closely with Customs Agents, Warehouse staff, Carriers, Customer Service, Sales, Supply Chain and external clients.**Main responsibilities**:***The **CUSTOMS COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST** will be responsible for:- Import-Export operation: Revise various documents and commercial invoices to ensure compliance to Customs regulations, as well as generate all documents required by different type of operations such as ground, air, maritime or virtual.- Validate that 'Pedimentos' are properly fill out meeting customs regulations such as correct data importer-exporter information, tariff, tariff preferences, VAT and others.- Monitor and maintain Master Catalogs in Compliance Share point.- Elaborate Layout for 'Pedimento' uploading information into Aranxel via Interxel.- Revision of Glosa (DataStage) report vs Aranxel to ensure the complete and correct data.- Virtual Operation: Generation of transfer documents to clients, closing virtual operation, send instructions to customs brokers, conciliate billing transactions in system.- Audit and Maintain database for IMMEX system, ensure accuracy and complete data elements on all Import/Export 'Pedimentos'.- Revise, approve and send electronic invoices to Account Payable team.- Support as needed on export process; from all Mexico's locations to end customers.- Solve any possible inventory discrepancies in the Annex 24 system to match with ERP System.- Collaborate in developing processes that will help Mexico to reduce freight costs and transit times.- Provide general office support as needed.- Train users as required.**Key Competencies**:- Detail oriented.- Building organizational capacity.- Results driven.- Collaboration and Influence.- Customer value and Market focus.- Teamwork- Honesty**Skills and Qualifications**:- Foreign Trade - International Trade Degree or similar
