.Vestas LAT is a fast-growing sales and production business unit covering 16 countries in Latin America region. We are responsible for the Sales and Production function, Project, Installation and Service of wind farms throughout the region. The Transport & Customs team has full ownership of the transportation of main components and general cargo to feed our operations in the region, which includes planning, implementing, controlling, improving and complying with global and local rules to ensure a timely and accurate delivery to our stakeholders. And to further promote our strategical goals, we are looking for a Customs Specialist to cover the Latam North region, reporting to the Head of Customs LAT, who will be mainly responsible for ensuring the compliance with laws and regulations within the region and mitigate risks of disruptions in the country. The Customs team has a cross-functional role, interacting with and supporting the entire organization in customs-related matters. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry together with a team of highly motivated colleagues.Customs Department in Vestas LAT has the overall responsibility to secure a well-functioning import and export process to fulfill the business needs in markets across the Latin American region with the lowest possible cost, while ensuring that we are conducting our business in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations.The responsibilities of the Customs Compliance Lead Professional are:Support, coordinate and monitor the customs brokers' performance; Implement and monitor special customs regimes operations; Assist the Sales Business Units with due diligence calculations and reviewing new agreements; Participate in developing concepts and processes to support reduce overall operating costs; Operationally address customs handling and strategy in the country; Preparation and handlingof customs audits; andMonitoring changes in the legislation that impacts the business and securing that relevant stakeholders are kept updated.**Qualifications**At least 7 years of extensive and solid experience with customs from a global company in a matrix organization (preferably in the heavy industry - Construction, Energy, Heavy Machinery) or in consulting with also background in operations; At least a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations, Law, Foreign Trade or related field; andGreat knowledge of International Trade and Customs legislation mainly of Mexico and Latam North countries
