.Customs Origin and Solicitation SpecialistAbout the RoleLocation: Mexico, Querétaro, Santiago de QueretaroRemote vs. Office: Hybrid (Remote/Office)Company: Siemens Energy, S. de R.L. de C.V.Business Unit: n/aFull / Part time: Full-timeExperience Level: Experienced ProfessionalA Snapshot of Your Day:The SE Customs department is responsible for the compliant execution of import, export, and related processes, supporting the business on an operational level to meet regulatory obligations and internal operational and customs compliance guidelines, and facilitating efficient and cost-effective cross-border trade.The Customs Origin and Solicitation Specialist will be responsible for supporting the SE U.S. Customs Duty Optimization team, enabling proactive and compliant use of customs special programs (FTA, U.S. Goods Returned programs, and Duty Drawback) that reduce the impact of customs duties.How You'll Make an Impact:Manage the SE GTM FTA solicitation module by deploying the annual preferential certificates solicitation for USMCA and KORUS FTAs and execute weekly FTA mass solicitation for all open purchase orders.Under the guidance of the U.S. Duty Optimization team, conduct daily review of supplier certificates, ensuring completeness and accuracy and requesting revised documents as needed.Manage the solicitation of U.S. Manufacturer's Affidavits (MA) through the GTM module or ad-hoc via email.Receive and timely process SE U.S. businesses and Import Operations team requests for MAs.Obtain supplier contact information and maintain the GTM FTA solicitation module up to date.Provide guidance to suppliers regarding the completion of the GTM solicitation requests.Monitor the FTA solicitation dashboard and provide FTA KPIs to management.Support the U.S. Duty Optimization team preferential origin analysis by obtaining Bill of Materials, run and review pedigree reports, and obtaining supplier supporting certifications.Use ETL software or Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.Assist in FTA and duty optimization processes standardization and automation.Maintain up-to-date and accurate process documentation.Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements in support of preferential certificates of origin.What You Bring:Proficiency in English language.Knowledge and experience of Preferential Trade Agreements and Rules of Origin, especially USMCA.Experience with Global Trade Management software is highly preferred.SAP knowledge is highly preferred.Must be experienced with Microsoft Office applications.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.U.S. Customs regulations knowledge is a plus.Supply Chain and Logistics knowledge is a plus.Knowledge of ETL software (Alteryx) for data analysis and reporting is a plus
