Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Customs Supervisor.
**What you'll do**:
Customs Supervisor is responsible for providing direct support to Finance Manager, to ensure temporary inventory and import/export activity meet with all Mexican Customs regulations for the site, including material, information and technology. This position ensures maintaining current certifications and government programs such as IMMEX, PROSEC, OEA, CTPAT programs, and VAT certification for legal entities related (Mexican entity and American entity). This position is also responsible for maintaining and updating compliance documents to reflect current regulatory requirements and procedures. Customs Supervisor is responsible for engagement delivery, customs compliance and quality, productivity and report management and exception management, as well as reporting metrics or KPIs of the site. Responsible for manages and runs reports for monthly reconciliation related to Annex 24 / 31. Customs Supervisor also responsible to control level of local freight expenses, customs broker fees and duties or taxes paid to Mexican or American government. Additionally, under its responsibilities is prevent any legal issue in regards of the Mexicans laws and American laws.
- Accomplish and guide business according to legal rules of importation and exportation in Mexico and US.
- Inventory Reconciliation between Annex 24 and ERP (MAPICS), including: cycle counts, receiving discrepancies, Inventory adjustments, company losses, Perpetual Inventories, company Sales
- Responsible for the temporary inventory management of the site and Annex 24 management for businesses in charge.
- Inventory reconciliation of Fixed Assets vs Import Records.
- Provide actions to reduce freight expenses, duties, taxes and customs broker fees.
- Detecting potential customs issues before the authority detects them.
- Ensure data integrity of Trade Compliance processes.
- Monitor the import/export of raw materials, finished goods, equipment, fixed assets scrap, non-productive material excess and obsolete (E&O) operation on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for ensuring the full compliance staying up to date with New Customs Regulations.
- Inventory and system management for Annex 31 and monthly reports
- Responsible to keep the legal entity in compliance to warranty the certifications and programs accredited like IMMEX, OEA, CT-PAT, PROSEC, etc.
- Attend internal and customs audits and any other requirements from SAT.
**Qualifications**:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Trade Compliance and/or Customs Law.
- 5 years of experience in the field.
- In-depth knowledge of annex 31/24 system
- Fixed Assets reconciliation
- Fluent in English Spanish
- Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel audit formulas) Access
- Auditing Skills
- Expenses control
