Requirements / Experience:

- 5+ working experience in customs activities automotive in Mexico customs laws, regulations, IMMEX operations, OEA, CTPAT, Foreign Trade Laws, experience with US customs concepts and trade agreements with Mexico (USMCA, Asia and Europe).
- Proficiency in harmonized tariff classification (HTS).
- Domestic and international travel if required.

Work process accountabilities:

- Develop and manage Import/export operations process.
- Manage and report import/Export inventory variances each month including explanations and corrective actions reflected in monthly KPI's.
- Coordinate with customs service providers for Mexico Operations including contracts, SOW, Purchase Orders and Payments.
- Develop and manage all Mexico Customs for EFP Operations, including responsibilities with OEM Customers for CTM's.
- Support Hanon Mexico Customs Manager for all Mexican regulatory agencies requirements.
- Manage all in house personnel for daily/monthly Mexico customs activities.
- Responsible to maintain Customs software (2TS / PRISMA) updated
- Manage the integrity for the Mexico Customs Software for all plants (2TS) to keep entry control and pedimento balances (Annex 24) and VAT certification requirements (Annex 30)
- Manage import processes for all M&T and Non Production (MRO) imports/exports for all plants in Mexico.

Desired Competencies, Experience, & Qualifications:

- Communicate professionally, effectively with customers.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Operations.
- Experience in manufacturing / automotive industry preferably.
- Leadership Skills / Team Building experience a must.
- Use formal problem-solving processes to drive to root cause analysis for logistics service failures and execution of accountability for corresponding corrective actions.
- Must have interpersonal management skills, and management training.
- Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of all aspects of production control.
- Excellent leadership and communication in dealing with customers and with fellow employees.
- Background in Logistics and understanding of Production planning and demands.
