Manage the entire import/export operation of Allegion Hardware in Mexico, facilitating the import from the US, Asia and MX and export to US.
Ensure compliance with MX government regulations.
This position is extremely time sensitive to prevent border crossing delays, support short production lead times and maintain customer on time deliveries.
Position Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of professionals and coordinate the import/export operation.
Responsible for timely filing of and data accuracy for Customs declarations
Act as the point of contact to resolve compliance-related issues.
Contributes to the operational efficiency of imports and exports.
Ensure recordkeeping of all customs transactions is organized and updated.
Promotes compliance with C-TPAT and AEO program.
Ensure trade compliance with VAT certification program and Anexo 30 electronic filing.
Ensure trade compliance with IMMEX certification program and Anexo 30 electronic filing.
Support company's special projects, new product introductions or process changes by providing technical support and guidance on trade compliance matters.
Responsible for the control of fixed assets (imported and domestic).
Stays abreast of new regulations and implement controls and processes to ensures compliance.
Manage relationships with external suppliers (customs brokers, software provider, etc)
Coordinates the execution of the USMCA audits and validates the results of the audits of the bills of materials.
Ensures that sub-manufacturing operations in Mexico are properly registered and support the existing operation.
Ensures that the Annex 24 catalog is kept up to date in the automated inventory control system.
Ensure that the "Annex 24" monthly inventory reconciliation with ERP is performed correctly and in a timely manner.
Develops and maintains customs compliance procedures
Responsible for proper operation and maintenance of the IXPORT software
Conduct training of stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and trade facilitation
Provides backup support to Analyst and Coordinator, as needed, to ensure business continuity

Serve as team leader, also train, coach, and mentor trade compliance team.
