Local role based out of Mexico. Geographic and functional to Customs Manager who reports into Global VP. The NA IFF Trade Team acts as the supporting pillar for the region's IFF Trade and Customs needs, covering Import and Export Trade related activities. Timely, accurate and insightful handling of all Customs related topics is critical to support BU decision making, financial reporting, compliance, and operational planning activities. The specialist is responsible for managing the import and export of goods, will ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to international business, as well as coordinate with customs and carriers to ensure efficient transit of goods. The specialist will work closely with the raw material planning and logistics teams to ensure that shipments arrive on time and at the right destination.Responsibilities/DescriptionIn-depth knowledge of import and export goods, including customs clearance and documentation for shipments entering and exiting USA and CAN.Monitor shipments and coordinate with customs, carriers, and vendors to ensure timely arrival of goods.Recognizes and helps prevent violations of USA and CAN customs laws and import laws.Responsible for timely and correct reporting to customs authorities (CBP & CBSA).Advising and sharing information with internal and external customers on customs procedures.Manage customs master data in SAP and customs software.Keep PGA licenses and permits up to date.Work closely with warehouse personnel ensuring bonded and domestic goods are properly identified, handled, and received into the zone.RequirementsAdvanced level of EnglishUnderstanding of US and CA Customs DocumentationAbility to understand Customs DocumentationComfortable with detailsKnowledge of customs procedures for advice and for sharing information.Related work experience (Freight Forwarding, Logistics or Trade)Both independently and in teamwork.Communication skills.Good command of English both written and spoken.Knowledge of SAP.Comfortable with details3-5 Working experience in customs, logistic, international trade#J-18808-Ljbffr
