**Title**: Cylinders Mechanical Design Engineer
**Primary Location**: Mexico - Mexico JD Shared Svcs-Cylinders
**Function**: Product Engineering
**Major Purpose**:
- Plans, coordinates, performs product design, testing and/or analysis work for a complete project of moderate scope or for a significant portion or a sub-system of a major and diverse project.
Operates in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews.
May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work to support personnel.
Decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with product engineers at other John Deere Units, supply management and manufacturing within Cylinder Internal Platform to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.
- Execute test and/or analysis plan for product verification and validation with PV&V engineers.
Follow established procedures in managing and completing projects.
**What Skills You Need**:
- Modeling and Drawing creation (Creo or equivalent).
- Product engineering experience: structural analysis, hydraulics, FEA, material, etc.
- Six sigma Training.
- Technical experience related to design and root cause analysis on products.
- Fluent English as a second language.

**Education**:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Aeronautical Engineering.
