**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:
Our positions in Monterrey are hybrid roles enabling our team to work 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely. Our office space in Monterrey was designed to promote collaboration for our scrum teams and increase our development velocity. In addition, you'll enjoy a great view of the city, fresh coffee, and the occasional happy hour.

A Data Analyst is a professional who collects, analyzes, and converts complex raw data and comprehensive information into written reports. These reports are easy for the average reader or non-technical employees to understand. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting data and information in the form of comprehensive reports. You will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to identify reporting needs and produce accurate and concise reports using SQL and DQL queries.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data from various sources, including the data warehouse, using SQL and DQL queries to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to the report's purpose.
- Report Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to determine the objectives, scope, and key metrics for the report. Understand the target audience and tailor the report accordingly.
- Report Writing: Prepare well-structured and insightful reports using clear and concise language. Utilize SQL and DQL queries to extract data from the data warehouse and incorporate it into the reports.
- Data Visualization: Utilize appropriate data visualization techniques (graphs, charts, tables, etc.) to present complex information in a visually appealing and understandable manner.
- Quality Assurance: Review and proofread reports for errors, consistency, and adherence to formatting guidelines. Ensure that the information presented is reliable and valid.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, department heads, and clients to understand their reporting requirements and address any questions or concerns.
- Report Maintenance: Monitor and update existing reports to ensure accuracy, relevance, and timeliness. Modify reports as required based on feedback and changing needs.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of report specifications, methodologies, and data sources. Keep track of revisions, updates, and version control.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve reporting processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Explore opportunities to automate report generation using SQL and DQL.
- Hands-on approach, passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices.
- Excellent communication and English skills (spoken and written).
- Can work under pressure and be delivery focused and pragmatic.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, finance, economics, or data science. A higher degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Report Writer, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in SQL and DQL queries to extract data from the data warehouse. SQL or a variation of it (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
- Understanding of relational databases.
- Proficiency in Java.
- Understanding of how JSON objects work.
- Experience using Git.
- Proficiency in data visualization techniques and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI). Experience with report design software is a plus but not a necessity (Logi Reports, Crystal Reports etc.).
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working with large datasets.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with research methodologies, statistical analysis, and data modeling.
- Knowledge of industry-specific reporting requirements and regulations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Advanced English is a must.

**SALARY AND BENEFITS**:

- 45,000 - 55,000 MXN
- Hybrid scheme (3 days a week working in the office, 2 days remotely)
