Come, join us on this journey!British American Tobacco Mexico has an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer Analyst in Monterrey.This role is part of DBS Function in Mexico that supports the Canada Marketing – Insights & Foresights BI team agenda.The position is responsible for working with a group of diverse and highly skilled team in Monterrey as part of a DBS Hub in Mexico working closely with the Insights and Foresights Business intelligence team in Canada. This role will combine technical expertise with business understanding to provide data driven solutions supporting the Canadian business unit to take better decisions providing objective, timely and relevant solutions/analysis.Your key responsibilities will include:Create and establish data pipelines that enable an accurate and timely read on performance at all levels of the organization and reverse engineer supplier data processing & data connection with the support of internal.Create an ETL pipeline automating both the POS and VAPS process that's highly critical for the company to understand performance and work with Key account and trade team to create & maintain the ETL process.Work with the DBS G33 Data analyst to validate data, understand gaps, communicate and resolve issues as necessary and support in creating and deploying of ETL requests from ad-hoc data science projects in conjunction with the DBS G34 Data science executive & the DBS G35 Sr. Data science manager.Enable and drive effective data management architecture for a fully scalable and digital Trade application.Support in the deployment of ground breaking sophisticated analytics solutions for trade and head office that cover FMCG and NC (e.G. Event based sims, geospatial analytics, IR).Leverage partnerships with Data & Analytics CoE and external suppliers to deliver advanced analytics projects, and establish standard methodologies for new tools and technologies.Bring new insights to the data science practice and support the augmentation of the data science roadmap and lead and prioritize new developments in our environments, including new data sources across channels and categories to ensure the enablement of efficient performance tracking and effective insights generation across Marketing.Consult with data scientists internally and participate in building appropriate ml models to find opportunities, threats or unlock insights to drive action and ultimately build value.What are we looking for?2-5 years in a similar role in a corporate environment, with a consistent record of business delivery and advanced experience of analysing sales performance data across multiple sources, and multiple relevant metrics.Experience working with data scientists in developing products
