**About the job**
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team in Guadalajara, Jalisco. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining multiple Pentaho Servers across different business units. This includes providing Level#1 and Level#2 support for 100+ jobs, following run book procedures, troubleshooting issues, and providing solutions.
**Some of the responsibilities include**:
- Support and maintain multiple Pentaho Servers across different business units.
- Follow run book procedures and restart jobs in case of failure (Level#1 support).
- Troubleshoot issues based on run book procedures, provide fixes/solutions to failures and escalate to Level#3 support if necessary (Level#2 support).
- Collaborate closely with teams outside of IT, such as Business Intelligence, Finance, Marketing, and Sales.
- Communicate effectively and document processes and solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrate self-motivation, willingness to learn new technologies and business domains, and take initiative beyond basic responsibilities.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Verbal and written English language proficiency.
- 3+ years of experience in PostgreSQL Or any relational database.
- 2+ years of Pentaho Data Integration Tool Or any ETL/ELT tool like Talend, Informatica, or DataStage.
- 1+ years of experience in VerticaDB Or any columnar Databases.
- Experience working closely with teams outside of IT (ie. Business Intelligence, Finance, Marketing, Sales).
