How you will do it
- Responsible for ensuring that key performance metrics are deployed in accordance with global standards established for metric deployment.
- Build creative and interactive dashboards and reports that can be used intuitively by business leaders to gain insights that drive strategic decision-making
- Understands business strategy and objectives by studying the business function, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats. Develops mockups to visualize insights and elicits feedback to ensure visualizations meet business needs
- Assists in the documentation of formal requirements, use cases, user stories, test plans, etc. which ensure that the solutions developed are tested, meet business needs and are operationally sustainable
- Establishes best practices and serves as an advisor on how to visualize data to provide insights that drives business decisions and improves overall business performance
- Engages end-users with tools to facilitate their day-to-day work, making large and/or complex data more accessible. Provide training and guidance as needed
- Collaborates with Global Analytics team to maximize and leverage the understanding of business solution functional requirements and non-functional requirements
- Transformation, enrichment and integration of data from identified internal and external data sources as needed to ensure consistent and accurate reporting
- Deliver on ad-hoc data requests from business users while building reports and dashboards to help reduce the need for these requests
- Deliver multi-faceted, analytics or visualization development projects
- Oversee integration work being delivered including coordinating across platforms
- Collaborate with Clarios Enterprise Global Infrastructure teams on all aspects of platform development
- Lead the delivery of solutions according to the Clarios architectural standards
- Responsible for work estimation specific to the technical delivery of analytics use cases
- Perform other job related duties as needed
What we look for
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Math, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science or another field with a quantitative component
- 1+ years' experience leading teams
- 6+ years' experience using descriptive and diagnostic analytics to help guide strategic decision-making in a business context
- 6+ years' analytics or visualization development projects.
- Experience in MS Power BI, Power Pivot, Power Query, Power Platform, Power Automate, any ETL tool.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL and DML tools.
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills, ability to work effectively with offsite and offshore teams
- Strong knowledge of database and data warehousing concepts
- Knowledge of Snowflake is optional.
- Proven ability to create visualizations and reports that are dynamic, intuitive, and easily interpretable for a range of user types
- Proven experience working with relevant coding languages (DAX as requirement; SQL, M, R, Python as relevant experience)
- 6+ years' experience of managing multi-faceted, analytics or visualization development projects
- Ability to demonstrate effective planning and prioritization of work to create impact as quickly and efficiently as possible
- Ability to communicate complex concepts verbally and in writing to colleagues with varying degrees of analytical knowledge and understanding
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple IT and business groups at Clarios
- Problem-solving skills - ability to navigate technology and organizational issues to complete project tasks
