The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is seeking Clinical Nurse Specialists to join our new Head to Health Kids (H2HK) Tasmania service.
H2HK Tas is an integrated secondary level mental health service for emerging complexity for the 0-12 year age group, representing an important addition to a child and family mental health stepped care model in Tasmania.
Role Overview:
This role will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver secondary level mental health assessment, intervention, and liaison for infants, children, and their families and caregivers, experiencing emerging complexity regarding emotional, social, relational, and behavioural functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the establishment of the Southern Head to Health Kids Tasmania service.
Undertake assessments, care planning, and delivery of individual and group secondary level mental health interventions to children and families, including culturally appropriate services.
Develop and support collaborative care partnerships with service providers including across primary health, child health, and early childhood programs.
Collect and review client and service outcome data and participate in activities to improve client outcomes.
Contribute to continuing quality and safety, service development and improvement, and professional development processes and standards.
Duties Include:
Ensure the delivery of a comprehensive clinical service through assessment, case management, and individual therapies.
Develop, monitor, and evaluate clinical outcome measures, manage mild to moderate clinical issues.
Participate in the multi-disciplinary team review of current clients.
Establish effective collaborative relationships with children, families, and stakeholders.
Maintain clinical documentation ensuring appropriate records of assessments and interventions.

Details of Appointment:
Fixed term full-time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2026.

Salary: $106,570 - $112,440 per annum with an 11.5% superannuation contribution on top of this amount.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
Current Working with Children Registration.
Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role.
Desirable Criteria:
Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in an area relevant to the role.
Postgraduate qualification or working towards a postgraduate qualification relevant to the role.
Current Driver's Licence.
