About our client

Our client is a global private equity fund with a solid presence in the industrial real estate throughout Mexico. The fund has created an exciting new position as a Deputy Controller. You will have an opportunity to lead a team overseeing day-to-day operations. The role is based in Mexico City or Mexico City. What the job involves Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly, and year-end financial statements under IFRSEnsure timely reporting of all monthly and annual financial informationManage the monthly and annual audit reports and documentsAssist leadership in the annual budgeting and planning processTrack payments against budget and forecastsReview and analyse existing policies and procedures for efficiency and effectivenessCreate and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to senior managementReview compliance reportingSupervise and develop staff (establish performance standards and expectations for staff and review work assignments both in-progress and when completed)Manage external consultants, service providers, and commercial counterparties, including auditors, legal counsel, and tax advisorsWho we are looking for Solid experience in accounting management, tax and/or financial reporting. Knowledge of the real estate sector is desirableAmple knowledge about IFRS, international accounting, MEX GAAP, and taxBachelor's degree in accountingExperience building and leading high performing teamsExceptional interpersonal and team leadership skillsFluency in English is mandatory
